What is the Curlsmith four-step method?Updated 4 months ago

The Curlsmith 4 step method helps you transform your wavy, curly or coily hair. We look through the products in each of our 4 steps so you can choose your product for your unique hair type.

1. Cleansing / washing is the first step. Our shampoos and co-washes cleanse the scalp and remove product build-up, without the use of sulphates which are too strong for curly hair. 

2. Conditioning is the second step. This is needed to provide essential moisture to your curls, smooth your hair cuticles and boost shine. Our conditioners lock hydration in and help to detangle the hair without breakage.

3. Moisturizing is the third step. Leave-in conditioners are applied after washing and conditioning, while the hair is still soaking wet. This helps to lock in moisture, aid with further detangling, and prepare the hair for styling.

4. Styling is the fourth step. You can choose your styler based on the finished result you want to achieve. Out stylers are numbered 1-10 which range from a soft hold, to strong hold. You can choose a buildable hold, to a stronger hold which creates a breakable cast. 

For an optional extra step, you can finish your hair with one of our finishing products:

• Bonding Oil: Weightless oil blend that targets hair bonds to seal cuticles, add shine and help hair look and feel smoother. Can be used on all curl types, and even straight hair! Suitable for any hair texture (even fine hair!) or porosity.
• Frizz Rescue Finishing Serum: Unique oil-to-gel serum used as a finishing product to help tame frizz providing shine and control. Can be used on all curl and texture types but a little goes a long way for finer hair! 
• Shine Oil: Weightless oil blend that locks in moisture and breaks crunchy gel cast to make curls soft and bouncy. All curl types, and even straight hair! Suitable for any hair texture (even fine hair!) or porosity. Particularly beneficial for most people who have scalp and fragrance sensitivities.
• Shake + Shine: A fine lightweight curl refreshing mist, that locks moisture in the hair fiber and delivers balanced moisture protection. All curl types & textures. Best for wavy and curly hair. 
• Flawless Finish Hairspray: Get the perfect hold without the dryness, with our alcohol-free hairspray, the ultimate solution for long-lasting bouncy curls. Suitable for all curl types including any hair texture or porosity.
