Why do you use Sodium Hydroxide in your products?Updated 2 years ago

Sodium hydroxide is used in a very tiny amount to stabilize the pH of the formula. Our hair

and scalp have a pH between 4.5 and 5.5, so it is very important to maintain the pH of the

products you use on a similar level, in order not to cause damage or frizz. Many natural

extracts have a much lower pH, so we need a tiny drop of higher pH substances,

like sodium hydroxide, to balance that out. The very small amount of sodium hydroxide we

use will not have any effect on the hair whatsoever, it will just work together with the other

ingredients in the product to maintain the pH at the optimal level!
